necco
who they are:
Necco is a social service for building families and futures through foster care, adoption, family counseling, and more operating in Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, and Georgia.
the problem presented:
With an increasing workload, the lead designer sought out someone to alleviate the workload at their Cincinnati headquarters to tackle the variety of print and digital pieces for all locations. There was also a need for stronger marketing and email campaign experience to help expand their reach. When I was added to their team, I was ready to share and teach my experiences in these fields.
my solutions:
During my time with Necco, I worked to expand their brand and outreach through my expertise in email design and design campaigns and aid them in ways to build, discuss, and apply their market research. Their brand was undergoing a rehaul, so I took this opportunity to explore how to refresh and expand its possibilities.
Since they already had Mailchimp, I guided them to retrieve contacts for specific campaigns, taught them about the writing content and coding used to build more personalized emails, and then designed and coded these into Mailchimp. Outside of this, I also worked on various print and digital pieces focusing on brand expansion, utilizing lighter color palettes to let the pieces breathe and incorporating their signature red to bring attention to the most important content.
